Fall Marketing Reset: 5 Things to Update at Your Clinic

Fall often means getting back into a routine. Summer holidays come to an end, schedules fill up again, and patients start thinking about appointments and follow-ups they may have put off over the summer.

It’s also a great time for a quick marketing reset.

You don’t need to rethink your entire strategy or launch a major campaign. A few simple checks can help ensure your information is current, make it easier for patients to book an appointment and improve how your clinic communicates with them.

Here are 5 things you can check this week.

1. Check your Google Business Profile

For many patients, Google is one of the first places they’ll encounter your clinic.

Take a few minutes to search for your clinic the way a patient would and check:

  • your opening hours;
  • your address and phone number;
  • your website link;
  • your appointment booking link;
  • the services listed;
  • your clinic photos.

Take a look on your phone, too. Is the most important information easy to find?

Extra tip: If your latest photos are a few years old, add one or two that better represent your clinic today.

2. Experience your website like a patient

This time, put yourself in the shoes of someone who has never visited your clinic.

Go to your website and see how quickly you can answer three questions:

What services does this clinic offer?

Can this clinic help with what I need?

How do I book an appointment?

Check that your contact information is current, your team is accurately represented and your appointment booking buttons work properly.

And don’t forget to do the same test on your phone. That’s where many of your patients will be viewing your website.

3. Refresh your photos

Has your team changed? Have you updated your clinic? Is your team photo several years old?

Fall is a good opportunity to refresh your image library.

You don’t necessarily need a professional photoshoot. A few good, recent photos of your team, clinic and work environment can be useful across your website, Google Business Profile and upcoming social media posts.

The goal is simple: your online presence should reflect the experience patients will have when they walk through your door.

4. Plan 2 or 3 educational topics

You don’t need to post every day to stay connected with your patients.

Instead, start by identifying 2 or 3 questions your patients regularly ask you.

For example:

  • a frequently asked question about a condition you treat;
  • advice related to returning to work, school or sports;
  • a simple explanation of a treatment or service;
  • a reminder about the importance of follow-up;
  • an introduction to a member of your team.

You’ve probably just found your next few posts.

A good rule of thumb: start with your patients’ real questions. They’re often the most relevant topics for your communications.

5. Take inventory of your CRYOS materials

Your physical clinic environment is also part of how you communicate with patients.

Take a few minutes to check the CRYOS materials you currently have on hand.

Are your countertop displays still visible and in good condition?

Do you have enough appointment reminder cards?

Does your team know where to find these tools and when to use them with patients?

Running low?

No problem.

If you need additional materials or something needs to be replaced, you can order more CRYOS promotional materials from our team. We’ll be happy to send your clinic what it needs.

You don’t have to do everything today

The goal of your Fall Marketing Reset isn’t to add another long list of tasks to your week.

Choose one or two priorities, get those done, then move on to the next items when you have time.

To make things even easier, we’ve put all five checks into a simple checklist you can download, print and share with your team.
